The Southern Appalachian Economic Development Partnership is very proud of our region’s 18 industrial parks. Our industrial parks range in size from 9 acres to 6,000 acres, and are well suited for a wide variety of industrial and manufacturing operations.

Within these 18 parks, more than 3,388 acres are currently available for development. You can build to your own specs, or choose from one of 17 ready-to-occupy commercial buildings. The existing buildings can accommodate a wide array of industrial applications. These buildings range in size from 12,000 sq. ft. to more than 238,000 sq. ft.

Getting raw materials in and products out is never a problem. Industrial parks are convenient to urban centers, a strong work force, and major transportation routes. All 18 of our industrial parks are within 500 miles of 75% of the U.S. market. More than a hundred trucking companies service the region. Rail transportation is available in seven of the eight counties. Two of the eight airports, serving the region are designated ports of entry.

Many support services crucial to industry are also available locally including tool and die manufacturing, foundries, heavy hardware, lubricants, sheet metal, welding, and heat treating.

Most of the industrial parks in the Southern Appalachian Economic Development Partnership are managed by a local industrial development corporation dedicated to working with new business and industry. Professional economic development consultants are available to help you every step of the way, from financing and construction to hiring and training your work force, and even developing new markets.
